David B. Mathews Has been with the firm since September1998 and was promoted to partner in January 2010. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has been licensed as a CPA in Nevada since 2000. He was promoted to Tax Department Head in the fall of 2010 and has been instrumental in developing that department. David has a broad range of knowledge and experience, specializing in tax return preparation and consulting services for businesses, individuals, and not-for-profit entities. He works closely with clients in the health care, construction, and manufacturing industries to help them achieve their business and personal financial goals. He follows the motto of "begin with the end in mind" as he helps clients navigate complex financial and tax transactions to achieve the desired result. David has extensive knowledge and experience in representing clients before the IRS and assisting them with tax examinations. David is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants. David is active in his church and enjoys being involved in the community. He has served as treasurer for the Las Vegas International Scouting Museum and as treasurer for Family Ties of Nevada Inc., an organization dedicated to assist families with special needs children. David was born and raised in Las Vegas and has made this his home with his wife and two children.
